Renel Lewis Jenkins
As a junior at Clark Atlanta University, majoring in theatre arts, Renel was given a book by a friend, which started her on the path she now travels. The book was The Temple of My Familiar by Alice Walker and the result of her receiving and reading it was the start of her life as a massage therapist.
Once making the decision to be a massage therapist, Renel began researching what steps she needed to take to fulfill her plan. She received her initial massage training at MRC School of Massage in Houston, Texas and continued her training at the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts (ASHA) in Norcross, Georgia, graduating with honors from both schools.
As a State of Georgia Licensed Massage Therapist, Renel combines her training in Clinical Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Therapeutic Swedish Massage and Reiki to support the health needs of each person she works with. Renel is also certified in pregnancy massage as well as medical massage. In the coming years, Renel would like to dig deeper into the powerful benefits of bodywork and reveal why we all need to (re)turn to massage.
